Practice the conversation you’ve been avoiding.
My Bonds is a guided space for two. Built to help you and someone you trust understand each other more clearly, especially when it's hard.

Break the cycle.
Most hard conversations don't fail because people disagree. They fail because people stop being able to hear each other.
Four patterns that break relationships.
Attacking who someone is instead of naming what happened. "You always..." turns a problem into a character flaw.
Criticism.
Treating your partner as beneath you. Sarcasm, mockery, eye rolls. Research points to this as the clearest sign a relationship is in trouble.
Contempt.
Meeting a concern with a counterattack or an excuse. It protects your pride, but it shuts the conversation down before it starts.
Defensiveness.
Stonewalling.
Going quiet and pulling away. It can feel like keeping the peace, but it leaves the other person alone with the problem.
These four patterns come from the Gottman Institute’s research.

How a session works.
A structured, real-time conversation designed to help both of you express yourselves clearly, de-escalate tension, and build real mutual understanding.
-
One person speaks freely while the coach holds space to ensure you can say what you mean without being cut off or corrected mid-though
-
Before a response is made, the coach reflects the core message back to preserve your true intent and soften the sharp edges that often trigger defensive reactions.
-
The listener acknowledges what was actually meant, and not just what was heard, before sharing their side of the story.
-
The floor flips. The second person receives the same dedicated space, structure, and guided focus to share their perspective.
-
The goal isn't to force an agreement or pick a winner. It is to hold space for both perspectives and protect mutual respect, even on the points where you agree to disagree.
One conversation.
Two private reflections.
After a shared session, each of you receives your own private report. Your beliefs, your strategies, and your reactions, exactly as they showed up for you. Your partner never sees yours. Yours never sees theirs.

A note on care.
My Bonds is a space for practising communication, not a substitute for professional support. If safety in your relationship is a real concern, please reach out to certified therapist rather than relying on this space.

We believe there is a connection between the relationship with ourselves and the way we treat each other and the planet we live on.
If we want to see real change in the world, we first need to take an honest look at ourselves — and become that seed of change.
